Contribution to my learning community

(Courses 5318 & 5389)

Throughout my engagement in EDLD 5318 and EDLD 5389, I've been dedicated to actively contributing to our learning community and enriching the collective learning journey. Collaborating with Christy A. and fellow participants in weekly discussions has been immensely valuable, enabling us to exchange insights, perspectives, and resources on leading organizational change and navigating digital environments effectively.

In EDLD 5389, Christy and I closely collaborated on GroupMe, discussing assignments and keeping each other informed about course deadlines. We provided feedback on each other's professional learning outlines and calls to action, leveraging our insights to revise and refine our assignments collaboratively. This collaborative process not only enriched our individual learning experiences but also elevated the overall quality of our work. Moreover, in this course, I delved into the 5 key principles of effective professional learning and utilized media to craft a compelling call-to-action video for an alternative PL. While I aimed to contribute more promptly to our discussion topics in this course, I acknowledge areas for improvement is my time management.

In EDLD 5318, spanning three modules, discussions, and assignments, I had the opportunity to delve deeper into understanding my why, develop an outline for an online learning course, and create implementation stages along with a usability test. Furthermore, I collaborated with colleagues, administrators, and students in this usability test to identify usability, strengths, weaknesses, and growth areas to enhance student learning experiences in the online course.

Overall, my contributions to the learning community in both courses have revolved around collaboration and continuous improvement. Through active participation and engagement, I have not only enhanced my own learning journey but also contributed to the growth and development of my peers, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared learning.

After careful consideration and reflecting on what I have contributed to my learning communities, either through group text messages, in person on my campus or course discussions collaboration, I scored myself in

EDLD 5389 - Develop Effective Professional Learning - 80 out of 100

and

EDLD 5318 - Instructional Design Online Learning - 95 out of 100.

Overall, I really enjoyed taking these two courses together, especially collaborating with my team members and other participants of this ADL program.
