Due to hurricane Beryl, I was out of power for 5 days. The cellular and data services were downed as well, and thus caused 1 discussion post to be late in EDLD 5315. In both courses, I did my best to be actively participating in the discussion post and communicate with classmates.
In EDLD 5315, I engaged in discussions that explored the intricacies of action research and literature reviews. These interactions enriched my understanding and allowed me to contribute insights that benefited my peers. Similarly, in EDLD 5320, my involvement in forums focused on synthesizing learning experiences and applying the COVA approach. These exchanges helped create a dynamic and supportive learning environment, where ideas were freely shared and critically examined.
Although my original core collaboration group in the accelerated ADL program dwindled from five members to just me in the last two courses, I adapted by collaborating with others through course discussions and feedback. This shift required resilience and adaptability, as I sought new avenues for collaboration. Despite the reduced group size, I maintained an active presence, providing constructive feedback and contributing to the learning of my peers. This experience taught me the importance of flexibility and the value of diverse perspectives.
One of the key aspects of my growth has been the ability to self-assess and reflect on what is working and what can be improved. I found that actively engaging in discussions and seeking feedback from peers and instructors greatly enhanced my understanding of the course material. However, I also recognized areas for improvement, such as seeking help more proactively and managing my time more efficiently.
The collaboration across both courses allowed me to connect ideas and integrate learning experiences. In EDLD 5315, I delved into action research design, identifying research topics and formulating research questions. This foundation was crucial when synthesizing learning experiences in EDLD 5320, where I applied the COVA approach and assessed my progress in the innovation project. By bridging these courses, I developed a comprehensive understanding of action research and its application in creating significant learning environments.
After careful consideration and reflecting on what I have contributed to my learning communities, either through discussion board, in person on my campus or text messages collaboration, I scored myself in
EDLD 5315 - Assessing Digital Learning and Instruction - 90 out of 100
and
EDLD 5320 - Synthesis of Applied Digital Learning - 90 out of 100.
Overall, I really enjoyed taking these two courses together, especially collaborating other participants of this ADL program.
