What's Your Why?

Discovering my "why" has been a transformative journey, shaping not just my professional endeavors but my entire outlook on education. Inspired by Simon Sinek's profound question, "What is your why?" I embarked on a quest to uncover the driving force behind my actions in the classroom. Through reflection and introspection, I realized that my true purpose lies in empowering students to take ownership of their learning, showcase their progress, and express their individuality. This revelation has guided my innovation plan to incorporate e-portfolios in the classroom, as I strive to create a learning environment where students are not just numbers but active participants in their educational journey.

Installing 4DX

Ever feeling overwhelmed by juggling multiple projects at once? Or simply initiate a new project while you have other day-to-day duties and responsibility? The struggle is a common challenge we all face. The 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX) offer a practical solution to this problem. By focusing on a few wildly important goals (WIGs) and breaking them down into actionable steps, the 4DX framework helps us navigate the whirlwind of tasks more effectively. Implementing the four disciplines—focusing on the wildly important, acting on lead measures, keeping a compelling scoreboard, and creating a cadence of accountability—empowers us to make tangible progress towards our goals. Through my exploration of 4DX, I've learned that prioritizing and focusing on key objectives is crucial for success, and by applying these principles, I'm confident I can achieve my goals more efficiently and effectively.
