Assess Digital Learning and Instruction
In this course, I have learned the essentials of designing and implementing action research. I gained skills in identifying a research topic, clearly articulating its purpose, and formulating a fundamental research question. I also learned to choose an appropriate research design—qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods—based on the study’s goals. The literature review process taught me how to critically analyze existing research, identify major themes and trends, and assess the strengths and weaknesses of the literature. This has helped me identify gaps in current knowledge and position my study to address these gaps effectively. Developing a detailed action research plan was a key component of the course. I learned to outline stages of data collection, from introducing and training on ePortfolios to their implementation and final data analysis. I understood the importance of using both quantitative and qualitative methods for a comprehensive understanding of the research problem. Overall, this course provided theoretical knowledge and practical skills for conducting meaningful action research. I now know how to design a research study, conduct a thorough literature review, implement a research plan, collect and analyze data, and reflect on the entire process. These experiences are invaluable for future research projects and exploring innovative educational practices.
Action Research Design Outline
This action research design outline provides a concise framework for my study. It begins by identifying the research topic and outlining the study's purpose. It then defines the fundamental research question and discusses the chosen research design, whether qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods, with justification. The outline specifies the appropriate type of data to collect and the measurement instruments to be used. This comprehensive approach ensures a clear and effective research process.

Literature Review
This literature review supports my action research plan by addressing critical questions and issues related to my study. The introduction outlines the overall topic, its importance, and my interest in it. Major themes, subtopics, and trends in research questions, results, and conclusions are listed. The body of the review delves into each theme, providing overviews and discussing subtopics and related studies, with a continual narrowing focus. The summary discusses the contributions, strengths, and weaknesses of the literature, identifies gaps, and highlights the focus of my study and methodology.

Action Research Plan
The rapidly evolving educational landscape has seen a significant shift towards integrating digital tools to enhance learning experiences. Among these tools, ePortfolios have emerged as a powerful resource for promoting student engagement, digital literacy, and self-reflection. This action research study aims to explore the impacts of ePortfolios on seventh-grade students in a Math class, with a focus on how these digital platforms impact student engagement, digital literacy skills, and self-reflection.
