Planning the Alternative Professional Learning

As a Multi-Classroom Leader at my middle school campus, it is essential to note there are ongoing needs and supports for Math teachers on campus, especially first year teachers. At the beginning of the school year, the district have designated several days for faculty and staffs to attend professional developments and trainings. Thus, in the upcoming school year, I am planning several sessions that evidently through needs assessment are identified as crucial for Math teachers on campus. These sessions are mandatory for all 6th, 7th, and 8th grader teachers. The Professional Learning Plan was curated with the 5 key principles of effective PD (Gulamhussein, 2013).

In addition to the planned PL for the Math Department, an ongoing PL for incorporating of e-portfolios (innovation proposal + implementation outline) into the classroom will also be implemented.
